Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar is the only town on the Catalonian coast that has a walled area. Situated in Es Racó at Grande Beach, it was constructed in the 12th century to protect the area from pirates. Today, it is one of the most important medieval aspects in Catalonia. You will also comes across thousand-year-old houses such as Els Ametllers, which is a Roman villa from the 4th century.


Blanes, which is also known as the Gateway to the Costa Brava, has activities and attractions available all year round. One such example is the Jardines Marimurtra, which is a botanic garden with sea views and over 3000 species. There is also the International Fireworks Competition, which is one of the most important in Europe. This event takes place in the month of July and runs for a week.


Situated 29 km away from Lloret de Mar, Girona is a lively city all year: it hosts local celebrations, cultural elements, festivals, events and more. The Girona exhibition, Tiempo de Flores, adorns the historic quarter with floral motifs. You will also be able to enjoy a range of cuisine here. El Celler de Can Roca, in the suburbs of Girona, is one of the best restaurants in Spain: it boasts three Michelin stars.

Castle d'en Plaja

This building, which is located at the end of Sa Caleta Beach, is actually a house-castle that was constructed by the Girona industrialist, Narcís Platja. The project, which dates back to 1935, was the work of the Girona architect, Isidor Bosch. Construction didn't finish until the end of the 40s, once the Civil War concluded.

Lloret Beach

With a length of more than a kilometre and a half, this is the longest beach in the town. It is located in the centre of Lloret de Mar and has a car park that will enable you to leave your vehicle right beside the beach.

Cala Banys

This is a rocky cove that is especially recommend for fishing or snorkeling. The surrounding area is stunning. You can reach this cove from Lloret Beach or by driving from Sant Joan Castle.

Canyelles Beach

Canyelles is the beach furthest away from the town centre. It can be accessed from the road to Tossa de Mar. With a similar length to Santa Cristina Beach, Canyelles stands out as it is home to the only marina in Lloret de Mar.
In Lloret de Mar, you can enjoy numerous water sports, including scuba divine, sea kayaking, sailing and more.
